Woody’s Walk Inc. is very proud to sponsor the Companion Memorial Brick Program in conjunction with Gateway Desert Awareness Park in Cave Creek, Arizona.
This program was developed to remember those animal companions who have passed, but more importantly, will raise funds for those that remain in Shelters and Rescues coast to coast. Your memorial brick becomes part of a lasting tribute as we pave selected nature trails through this beautiful park.
Why Cave Creek, Arizona?
Cave Creek is located in the Desert Foothills just minutes north of Phoenix, Arizona. Since its early days as a Wild West mining town, it has been known for its natural beauty, independent spirit and kinship with animals, both wild and domesticated. The Spring “Blessing of the Animals” and “Holiday Pet Parade” are indicative of a community that boasts rescues that save a variety of creatures including rabbits, sheep, pigs, horses and of course, dogs and cats.
Why Gateway Desert Awareness Park?
Gateway Desert Awareness Park is a 26-acre native habitat park offering unique recreation opportunities and educational experiences by showing how plants, animals, and humans have adapted to life in the Sonoran Desert Foothills.
The park promotes the appreciation of the desert ecosystem and the importance of individual stewardship. In 1996 the park was awarded the Governor’s Award for the best Beautification and Forestry Program. Awareness. A fitting word to address not only the need to understand nature around us, but the importance of the companion creatures who share our planet. With your help, we can create a haven where people can reflect, appreciate, enjoy, and ultimately save many companions that depend on us.
How can you help?
You can order your companion memorial brick today and show your love for your departed companion. This is your opportunity to always remember and never forget those that still desperately need our help.
